Friday Memes (#3)

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read and allows book bloggers to connect.

Q. Have you ever wanted a villain to win at the end of a story? If so, which one?

In Ally Condie's Matched, I've wanted the society to win, but mainly because I really rather Xander to Kai ... However, the story is still going on, so who knows!?

Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger hop is hosted by Crazy For Books and is a great way to get to know other book bloggers and bookish people =)

Q. Many of us primarily read one genre of books, with others sprinkled in. If authors stopped writing that genre, what genre would you start reading? Or would you give up reading completely if you couldn’t read that genre anymore?

I'm a huge sci-fi/fantasy reader ... however, if authors stop writing science fiction or fantasy, I might just end up reading mysteries only. I do love a good mystery =)

  1. Huh, I never really thought of this. I did love Xander, but I loved Kai too! I don't think I could choose between them at this point..

  2. Never heard of this series either. Will have to check it out!
I couldn't think of a villain. Instead I picked an antihero (freelance killer as the protagonist of the book)

  3. Hi!--New follower!

hmmm--Matched is still on my tbr, but I think someone else mentioned it, too!--As for me, I've been reading A Game of Thrones, and as much as I <3 the Starks, I can't help but root for Tyrion!--It's not his fault he was born a Lannister!

    Have a great weekend!

  6. I liked Xander too and was mad at Cassia for having feelings for Ky. But that wouldn't have made a very interesting story I suppose.

  7. You know, as much as I do vary my reading, and there'd still be paranormal, dystopian, scifi, historical fiction and the like, I'd be pretty put off if they stopped publishing epic fantasy. I loves it!

  8. I love that you are counting the society as a villain. There are a lot of great books that would fall under scenario!

  9. I like those genres too. There are so many different things to read even if new books in a favorite genre stopped being published. Please come see what I would read.
