Feature & Follow Friday (#1)

Feature & Follow Friday is hosted by Rachel of Parajunkee and Alison of Alison Can Read and allows book bloggers to connect.
I've decided to do the feature, both on my blog and on this companion site. (Listen, if the doctor can have a companion, so can this um ... my blog!)

    Q. If you could write yourself a part in a book, what book would it be and what role would you play in that book?

I've always wanted to be a part of a Jane Austen novel. I don't really care which one (other than Mansfield Park, that wasn't a favourite of mine ... I wish Fanny was more fiesty!)

I really like Emma, so it would have been nice to be in her circle. Of course, I'd prefer that Ms. Woodhouse not set me up with random single men ... I mean, look at poor Harriet Smith!. Though, thinking about it, suggestions would be welcomed (hehe).

Let's see, if I was a character, I would have been Emma's distant cousin, who lived in the city and knew of Mr. Frank Churchill's relationship with Ms. Fairfax. I'd have been visiting Emma during the picnic on Mr. Knightley's property and confirmed his suspicions of Frank and Jane. Poor Emma wouldn't have listened to me either and we'd have a little falling out as she'd accuse me of being fanciful and letting the city get to my head. However, once their relationship was revealed and Emma realized that she was wrong, we'd go for a turn around the garden where we would discuss our conflict, become friends again and put the squabble behind us.

I'd have been present at Emma's wedding to Mr. Knightley where, unfortunately, I'd twist my ankle dancing. Fortunately, my dance partner - a business partner of Mr. Knightley - would come to my rescue. We'd get to know each other and realise that we adore each other's company and live in Jane Austenesque happiness afterwards.

    How about you?

    3. So in depth with your character, I love it!

Keep going with Covenant, there's less Mae time in Surrender and lots more Alan :) I actually liked Mae in the second book. But in book three, Sin had completely won me over and I was like, Mae who?

Great answer! I would love to live in one of those early 19th century English towns and be the rich, proper young lady living on an estate manor and going to all kinds of parties and dances and afternoon teas, and of COURSE meeting some wealthy, dashing gentlemen who will sweep me off my feet! :)

You can see my FF post for this week at the link below-- would love if you stopped by! Have a great weekend :)
